Canyoning Nelson Lakes

We have had an amazing trip, guided by Adrien. We reservated the day before (because we were freewheeling NZ plenty of time on our hands) and we were welcome in the afternoon, I suppose after a similar tour in the morning. The boatride towards the canyon was already breathtaking, one of the so many great Lakes of Aoteroa. The canyon itself was gorgeous and required an steep but short climb. Nothing to be afraid of. Going through the canyon with expert guidance was amazing. If you’ve got time it is definitely worth the money. Otherwise you’re just looking at all these amazing waterfalls in NZ, why wouldn’t you join them? Edit: location is the first shed to your right entering the lawn of nr 32.

Amazing experience. I did Hidden Falls with my 11 year old daughter and it was such a great adventure. Adri was a brilliant guide and now my daughter wants to find and conquer all the canyons of NZ!

An absolutely unforgettable canyoning experience! We had an amazing canyoning trip at Nelson Lakes with Adrian and Sam. From the very first moment, they were incredibly professional, friendly, and always smiling. They created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere full of laughter, while at the same time making us feel completely safe. They were especially patient and supportive with anyone who needed help overcoming fear, explaining everything clearly and encouraging us every step of the way. You could really feel how much they care about the people they guide. The canyon itself is absolutely stunning – rushing water, lush green surroundings, and a perfect mix of adrenaline and natural beauty. We loved the extreme elements of the trip, and the route was simply breathtaking. Adrian and Sam truly made the experience for us. We give them a well-deserved 10/10 and recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Nelson Lakes. This was one of the highlights of our trip!

Loved our canyoning experience! Beautiful boat ride across Lake Rotoiti to our starting location, we were given all the gear to stay safe and warm and training and support to enjoy the challenge and adventure. The canyoning is both dramatic and beautiful. The water was fresh but I never felt that cold as the wetsuits were high quality and we were moving between obstacles. I was really stoked to manage to do all the jumps despite heights and jumping into wild water is a bit of a fear! High recommend this trip!

We absolutely loved our canyoning adventure with Canyoning Aotearoa. We went to an incredible canyon called Hidden Falls which was so beautiful and immersive. The excellent guide made us feel safe and confident, took excellent care of us and helped us have a blast. We got such a blast of adrenaline and joy while discovering a cool new part of Aotearoa. We would highly recommend these folks for an epic adventure.
