The Playhouse Cafe and Theatre Restaurant is a function and entertainment venue in Richmond, Tasman, near Mapua, off Coastal Highway 60. It specialises in weddings, concerts, private events and theatre, seating up to 120 guests in a grotto-styled reception room styled by local artist John Gozney. The venue also has outdoor garden grounds for ceremonies and offers full catering and bar service. It opens for events only.

My husband and I had our wedding at the playhouse on the 18th of April. Nic and his team were amazing. The venue was tidy and we'll looked after and the food was absolutely delicious only remarks on how good it all was from our guests. Even with the rain Nic was quick to contact us and help with a new plan and layout that would fit the needs for the big day. Its a fantastic place for any event.

Went for the first time ever, to their christmas day buffet. Absolutely awesome, the whole thing, from the food to the decor to the hosts, would highly recommend to anyone.
