Structural Balance

Marjo is amazing she has helped my recovery through complex arm injuries. I'm now regaining alot more movement so I can move on with strength training.

Last July I fell off a ladder. I was very well looked after at The GB Community Health Centre immediately. Marjo at Structural Balance was available to treat me a day or so after I fell, so I took the chance to get some treatment on my severe back pain. In the next couple of months I had three or four sessions with Marjo and my pain reduced and my mobility increased. Early in 2023 I had an x-ray and that revealed a compression fracture of my 12th vertebrae. The associated diagnosis suggests that in time my pain will either disappear or become negligible. That appears to be happening. I consider that the timely, professional and considered treatment I received from Marjo was a significant factor in my recovery. Marjo asked lots of questions and listened carefully to what I told her. I will have no hesitation in going back to Marjo for more treatment.

Marjo has a broader and deeper base of knowledge than any therapist I have ever seen. Her understanding of anatomy and a wide array of treatments and therapies is on an entirely new level, and she uses this knowledge to work wonders. Marjo has successfully treated me for recurring back pain as well as successfully modifying life-time issues with my posture and gait through her skillful application of structural integration. As well as enormous knowledge and experience, Marjo has a warm engaging personality and fun sense of humour which puts you immediately at ease, and makes every session with her a pleasure, as well as a valuable learning experience.

Marjo is a “master”….she is extremely talented with massage, Structural Balance, and myofacial-release techniques. You can trust any “body” to her skilful hands. She is trauma-informed and safe for those with painful conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. She is professional, intuitive and a powerful healer. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
