Waimea Engineering is a heavy transport engineering firm based in Hope, founded in 1996 by Phil Kirk. The business designs and manufactures custom heavy vehicles, including log trucks, trailers and side-tipping trailers, and offers heavy transport repair, chassis straightening, forestry equipment maintenance and transport certification. It employs 25 plus staff across two sites and describes itself as the only heavy vehicle manufacturing certifier in the region.
