What a place to walk through! The water taxi rides were the icing on the cake (we did appreciate your bus driving skills Chris when the seas were less favourable!). We chosen the 3 day self guided hike. Great lodge accomodation at Awaroa Lodge and camping in a tent experience at Anchorage. The sleeping stretcher was uncomfortable, otherwise a new experience. Our guide 'Shar' at Anchorage was a great host and made a yummy curry and rice for dinner. Overall the self guided instructions prepared by Abel Tasman Guides were clear and on point. The gear list was minimal and the duffle bag was also convenient and bigger than expected. Communication was timely from booking to time of arrival. Highly recommend!!!

Brilliant experience from beginning to end. Booking 3 day self guided walk from UK couldn’t have been easier. All communication and payment options very good. The trip itself was fabulous and the operations team very helpful. The first night camping was enjoyable, well supported and the hot dinner and breakfast were excellent. Likewise the second night in the lodge was very good. Great organisation that I would highly recommend. And the park, walk and beaches lovely.

We had a fantastic experience completing the Abel Tasman walk as a family with Abel Tasman Guides. The weather on our first day was pretty rough, but the care, calmness, and attention our host Cha provided at Anchorage turned what could have been a challenging start into a really memorable part of the trip. The logistics, organisation, and communication throughout were excellent, from clear information beforehand to everything running smoothly on the track. It made the whole experience feel easy and well supported, which was especially important travelling with kids. We came away with great memories and would highly recommend Abel Tasman Guides to other families or anyone wanting a well-run, thoughtful way to experience this incredible part of New Zealand.
