Abel Tasman Sea Shuttles

Lovely afternoon trip around heaps of beaches on the Able Tasman. Our Captain gave us alot of information about the area. Highly recommend this afternoon cruise.

Great service and friendly people. Best to reserve online to get the departure times you prefer. We took the 9am shuttle to Tonga Quarry, walked 4.5 miles to Awaroa Lodge cafe (there’s also a pizzeria there) and then walked 20 minutes to the Awaroa shuttle pickup for a 2:45 ride back. That made a great day. There’s a bit of a climb at the beginning and end, but we did it with a 1 year old and 4 year old (and 2 child backpacks!) lots of other options with the shuttle and their site is very helpful for planning your day. BTW, you’ll see spilt apple rock and seals on the way.

Well organised access to this outstanding location. We did the five beaches walk which was a brilliant sampler but probably should have chosen the later return so we could stop and enjoy the views and beaches more. Plenty of other drop off -hike-pickup options available too

We got a 9am boat to Medlands beach , walked to Anchorage and got a 3.45 boat back to Kaiteriteri. This allowed us plenty of time for the walk and a dip in Cleopatras pool and a lunch stop . It also tied in perfectly with the bus service they offer to Nelson. Great service . I would have liked an extra 30 mins to have a dip in the sea at anchorage but you can’t have everything
