Apple Tree Bay Campsite

Wonderful basic camp site. Camping is on the beach with a few picnic tables around. There is untreated water available and basic non flush toilets. Stunning location and lovely beach to swim at. Watch out for the cheeky wekas nicking ya Zebs Shoes, at least they have good taste in healthy footwear, and won't be getting any blisters!

Perfect first over night hike with kids - stunning walk and so nice to sleep right on the beach. There are toilets and water (that needs to be boiled) space for 20+ tents

Beautiful spot which we had for ourselves. Toilets were alright. Water needs to be filtered or treated otherwise. The sign said the campsite can hold up to 15 or 20 tents, in reality there is decent spot for 4, 5 tents top. I understand that the fee for camping goes to the preservation of the park but for such a high price, it doesn't offer much.

Stunning beach, even has a few picnic tables. Small estuary, looks kid friendly and the waters clear. Just make sure an adults there also.

We hiked here with our two children. It was 5.5 km. The trail was beautiful, and at the end, we were rewarded with this magnificent sandy cove. We also went swimming in the gentle waves. The water felt warmer than we were used to at other beaches. Towards evening, the sandflies arrived, so we quickly packed our things and hiked back. We decided against the water taxi, by the way, as it would have cost us $200 as a family. We had originally planned to hike a trail further up. I'm glad we did it this way.
