About

Baton Run is a working sheep and beef farm accommodation in the Baton Valley, offering three self-contained stays: Shepherd's Rest, Honeywell Hut and Pedallers' Nest. The farm spans 1011 hectares and is run by Richard Lublow, who also performs locally and nationally as a bush poet. Honeywell Hut is built with recycled timber and locally milled macrocarpa. Pedallers' Nest sits on the Great Taste Trail, and horses are welcome to stay too.

Reviews

This place should NOT be missed on the Tasman Taste Trail - it is truly a gem. I have stayed in many places on our various NZ trails but have never had such a welcome and such hospitality. The food, farm, walks, and the host Fiona were amazing. Even if you are not on the bike trail a few days here would do your soul good. Cannot speak highly enough of Ludlow’s Leap / Baton Run Accommodation.
