Is up there with the best meal I have had anywhere. Could not fault the roast beef cheeks, nor the vegies and the sauce .. beef jus and horseradish mustard .. unreal. Speaking for two blokes here. Congrats team on an amazing dining experience. Pool table is high quality along with great pool cues. The dessert was delicious too. See ya next week! 😆

Thoroughly enjoyed the winter Sunday Roast - $35 for a large portion of delicious roast meat, lots of veges, delicious gravy and also a dessert. The staff are very friendly, very quick service (in, ordered, ate two courses and left all in 50 minutes), table nice and clean, lovely and warm with the fire going, wine reasonably priced and good parking (at least when Kaiteriteri not busy anyway). Only downside was the atmosphere, with music too heavy and loud for my liking, cheap tables and chairs and dirty carpet - the atmosphere was more of a pub that serves food and has lots of chairs and tables than a nice restaurant to dine in that also has a bar. I would suggest trying to make more of a restaurant atmosphere until 8pm then morphing into pub mode later in the evening. Happy to go try again though for another Sunday roast another time (meat changes week by week), and maybe take noise cancelling earbuds for my own music.

5 stars for service because even if it was busy when we ordered we had our food within 20 minutes, but food I give a 4 because the fish and chips was a bit too oily, and my salmon salad was ok.

5* Review💯 On the night of the fireworks display that was unfortunately cancelled, we just wanted to say how amazing you all were. The place was absolutely packed, the orders were huge, and everything flowed so well. The music was fantastic, the singers were brilliant — truly well done to the whole team. What a night! We had a Lovely dinner here (fish & chips and salmon & chips), really fast service. Nice outdoor seating with chilled music on. Large portions. Perfect after an active day doing the coastal walk! Thank you.
