About
The Coolstore Gallery is an art and design gallery in the old Coolstore Building at Mapua Wharf, owned by Laszlo and Corene, who moved back from London with their two daughters in 2021. It showcases work from over 100 New Zealand artists, including jewellery, bone and pounamu carvings, ceramics and homewares. The gallery is open seven days a week, 10am to 5pm.

What a fantastic place! If you appreciate high-quality, locally made art, this is the place for you. They have everything from budget-friendly options to top-of-the-line pieces. The owner (Laszlo) is very friendly, and the lady at the till was also very helpful. I highly recommend this shop. ❤️😘

If we didn't live in another country I'd visit this every day! Beautifully curated with a fantastic array of items across all price ranges. I'm in a small wheelchair & was able to manoeuvre around reasonably easily. Friendly service too.

What an awesome gallery and shop! Fabulous unique jewelry and out of this world art. We are so lucky to have such a prestigious gallery in Mapua. The staff are so warm and friendly and very helpful.
