Fairfield Orchards is a third-generation family-run horticultural operation growing apples and kiwifruit across the Motueka and Tasman regions. Chris and Lyn Drummond transitioned the family farm into an apple and kiwifruit orchard in the 1980s, later developing their own packhouse operation. Based in Riwaka in Tasman Bay, the orchard grows eight varieties of apples and gold kiwifruit, taking advantage of high sunshine hours and generous rainfall. Fruit is processed through a fully automated packhouse using AI-driven grading technology.
