Farewell Gardens Holiday Park is a small, family-run, eco-friendly motor camp at Port Puponga, Golden Bay, near the base of Farewell Spit. It offers standard and en-suite cabins, a self-contained apartment, and tent and campervan sites. The camp relies on rainwater, with metered showers, and sits about 10 minutes from Wharariki Beach.
Excellent location with lots to do around here. Walks/ bike ride to Kaihoka simply amazing.

Stayed here for 2 nights as I wanted to do some walking on Farewell Spit. Lovely place, very quiet during the day with only birdsong. Friendly helpful people, definitely be back. Just remember its 30-odd km back to the nearest store!

Great Eco Holiday Park. Loved our stay here, wish we could've stayed longer. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. People leaving bad reviews haven't read what "Eco Holiday Park" Means. We will be back! :)

One of the most beautiful holiday parks I’ve stayed at in NZ. Beach is right across the road with stunning views, especially at sunset. Very lush and shaded sites, and I really appreciate the eco-friendliness. The owners are very kind!

We stayed here for two nights. The location is very good if you plan to visit the Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit. The kitchen is good, have pots and cutlery. The only complaint we have is shower time. $2 for 2 minutes is too short and could have been 3 minutes instead as we have to wait 30 seconds for the water to heat up.
