We are from Timaru and were on holiday in Picton, so traveled all the way to Brightwater to go to Freshbake Bakery, as husband a fan follower on Facebook and talked it up. Lovely food. Good service. Long way to travel for a pie and donut though 😂

Shelley and Sarah do a fantastic job in this little bakery in an industrial area of Brightwater, always entertaining her followers social media,, and treating the customers with the respect they are entitled to. The food on offer each day is the freshest possible. But get in early, because you may miss out. Line up at opening time! 🥧

Best pies around, worth the trip out there. The Pork Pie and Chip n Dip Steak and the Mince on point. Really good. Fast service excellent staff and banter, Only Pies!!

The chicken, cranberry and Brie pie is the best one I’ve ever had! The pastry! OMG! My kids don’t like pies and they wanted a bite, they loved it! They both chose a cake and my son’s words “Mummy, I don’t like this cake. I love it!!” I had a bite and was gutted I didn’t get one. Also my son mentioned how lovely Sarah is! Can’t wait to visit again 😁😁
