Wow, I’m so happy to have such an amazing restaurant within a 10-minute drive of my home. Situated on the corner of the main street in Motueka, the restaurant makes a great first impression. Inside, the décor is simple, stylish, and immaculate. We were shown to a window seat for two, and as daylight faded, the activity along the high street created a vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere. To start, we enjoyed the mussels and chicken pâté, both of which were delicious. For our mains, we chose the pork belly and the slow-cooked beef cheeks, and both dishes were cooked to perfection. We finished with the sticky date pudding, which was the perfect end to a wonderful meal.

This meal was such a great surprise. We couldn’t get into the restaurant we have chosen, so managed to get a table here. Every dish was delicious: mussels and ceviche for entree and duck breast and gnocchi for mains followed by a shared sticky date pudding. The duck was the best main my husband has had for a long time!! The gnocchi were light and very tasty. We are most definitely coming back here when we are next in Motueka.

My partner and I decided to try our luck on a friday night, we were walk ins and with out hesitation from the staff we got a table instantly. Very friendly, ordered food and drinks which didnt take long to arrive. The meals were amazing we loved every bite, only thing we can critique is they originally took the drinks menu so had to ask for it again, and we never got meal checked so had to get the waiters attention for another drink. Otherwise overall we had a good time.

The beef cheek with polenta and spinach absolutely melted in your mouth, with flavours that lingered long after the last bite. The eye fillet with potato gratin and porcini was equally delicious, rich, comforting and perfectly cooked. A beautiful winter meal where every detail had clearly been thoughtfully considered.
