Absolutely beautiful fantastic walking track amazing outdoor bath the house we stayed in was really lovely clean tidy kitchen had everything you needed for cooking looking forward to coming back the owners where fantastic they have shown such pride and have maintained the property amazingly

We stayed here 3 nights. Highly recommended if you are looking for a peaceful retreat in the bush, as long as you have your own transport. The house is in an idyllic setting and, thanks to bug screens, you can open the windows and feel like you're in the bush, listening to the birds. The house is very well equipped, everything you'd want including a good range of books, games and DVDs if you are having a night in. The place has been built to a higher standard than most NZ homes, very good use of (double glazed) glass to provide a really light and airy feel, but it didn't get too hot when we left it on a sunny day. The walk up alongside the river is lovely, and we didn't see anyone at all. The only caveats for travellers would be that the bathroom is downstairs, and being in the bush, you will need good insect repellent for the voracious sandflies!
