We called in the morning if we could book a ride and we could immediately go. My husband and I had very different riding experience levels but Baerbel was super attentive and adapted to the both of us. She is a very knowledgeable person. I learned far more than I expected during this ride, with a lot of focus on balance. The horses were super gentle, sensitive and happy and the trail is great. Riding on the beach is just something else ❤️. Baerbel also took beautiful photos during the ride, which we didn't ask for but was thoughtful of her. Highly recommended for riders of any level!

Fantastic place to stay! The pizza oven was hot and ready when we arrived. Great hosts and our horse ride the next day was superb! We also had outstanding weather and my girl enjoyed her birthday riding at Patons Rock.

We stayed at Hack’n Stay for two nights with our campervan and felt at home right away. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the facilities are spotless, and the kitchen is cozy. There’s plenty to explore on the farm and in the beautiful Golden Bay area, with lots to discover nearby. The beach is just a 20-minute walk, passing the Fairy Trail and glow worm trail. Everyone on site is kind and helpful. A special highlight was the beach ride with Bärbel, the owner and riding instructor, who was very patient and knowledgeable, making it a great experience even as a beginner. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back one day. Thank you! 🙂

We had an amazing time on our ride to the beach. The horses were forward going and responsive. More experienced riders were able to trot and canter on the beach while less confident or experienced riders could walk along under Baerbel’s care. The views were amazing! Compared to many other places in Australia we have gone trail riding, this would probably be the best! We learned some new horsemanship tips and enjoyed a chat over a cup of coffee. They gave us many free photos! To top off our perfect day at Hack ‘n Stay, we enjoyed our overnight stay in our campervan.

We were here for a beach ride. They made us feel very comfortable, especially because one of us has pretty much never ridden before. The ride was very beautiful and scenic. The more skilled people even got to trot and canter, while the others got to hang back. Would definitely recommend for all skill levels even though it’s a bit demanding, because of the many hills. Thank you for the great experience!!
