Our group of 8 really enjoyed this kayaking experience. From the point of arrival we were warmly greeted to the pre-trip guidance through to the amazing coffee at the conclusion of the tour. Jasper was an excellent guide, pointing out sites of historical, cultural and current interest. He took a personal interest in all people in histour party. What a beautiful way to see a special corner of beautiful New Zealand.

We feel so fortunate that we booked a tour with Kahu. While other companies had swarms of kayaks out, our small group was able to avoid the crowd and we had an intimate paddle into lagoons and quiet places. Liv filled us with lots of information about the area and the biology around us and we laughed and truly enjoyed everyone in the group. It was a really great day.

We had the most amazing experience with Kaku Kayaks! From start to finish, everything was so well organised and relaxed, making our anniversary feel special. A special shoutout to our lovely guide, Jess, who truly made the day unforgettable. She was warm, knowledgeable, and so encouraging throughout the tour. Jess made us feel comfortable on the water and shared interesting insights along the way. The views were stunning, the vibe was fun and easygoing, and we enjoyed our little picnic. Highly recommend booking with Kaku Kayaks, truly an amazing experience

We had the best trip with Kahu Kayaks in January. Jasper our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We ended up in a small group with just our family and so got a very personalised tour. Our daughter was super stoked to see an octopus and the hot chocolates were a fantastic touch. We highly recommend Kahu Kayaks.

Kahu Kayak is outstanding, and Brad is absolutely amazing. From the very beginning, he went above and beyond — patiently answering my many questions over multiple phone calls and making sure we felt completely confident before setting off. When the weather turned bad, Brad gave us incredibly thoughtful advice and recommended cancelling our first day for safety. Not only that, he generously gave us an extra day for free so we could still enjoy our full three-day kayak experience. We felt so genuinely looked after and cared for — it made all the difference. Brad took the time to explain all the incredible little spots we could explore by kayak, the adventures we could have along the way, and shared excellent travel tips. He prepared us so well every step of the way. And when I realised I’d forgotten to bring a pot on the trip, Brad was there to save the day — no stress, just pure kindness and problem-solving. Truly exceptional service from start to finish. Highly, highly recommend Kahu Kayak — and especially Brad! 🌊🛶
