Kerr Bay Campsite sits beside Lake Rotoiti in Nelson Lakes National Park, near St Arnaud, surrounded by beech forest with a boat launching ramp close by. It offers 15 non-powered tent sites and 10 powered sites across six camping zones. Facilities include hot showers, toilets, a day shelter with cooking facilities, and a washing machine and dryer. Bookings are required year round.
Fantastic campsite! The hosts were lovely and helpful (though they definitely do check bookings so make sure you have one). One of the most calm and private powered sites we鈥檝e had on our whole trip. Good bathrooms, clean and with hot showers - buy tokens from the hosts. The lake is gorgeous too! Walk to the jetty further along the beach to see the eels. Not too cold - I had a great morning swim in April - however I got bitten by an eel haha so make sure you鈥檙e up to date with those tetanus shots. 馃槀 Worth it though!

Beautiful location. Perfect for a one night stop off, facilities were basic but fine for what we needed. Be sure to arrive before 4:30 to check in and for shower tokens. No washing machine which was a pain but we made do. Bring bug spray as the sand flies are awful!

Fab campsite. We arrived with our campervan. Easy check in. Powered site available. Great showers....need a dollar to get a coin for the shower. Good kitchen. Lake and view amazing. Had a lovely swim (obviously a tad cold!). Saw eels under the pontoon. Great restaurant nearby.
