Moutere Hills Restaurant and Cellar Door is a restaurant and winery cellar door at 42 Eggers Road, Upper Moutere, overlooking vineyard rows and neighbouring hop gardens. The kitchen prepares dishes mainly with local ingredients, and the cellar door offers estate made wines alongside local beers. The venue provides outdoor seating and takes reservations for lunch and dinner.
Perfect spot for a beautiful lunch. Every flavour on the menu was incredible and you could tell a lot of care had gone into the food. The orange dessert was honestly one of the best desserts I’ve ever eaten, absolutely unforgettable. The setting, atmosphere and food all made for such a lovely experience. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely come back again.

This is a perfect setting and the food is sure to impress. We shared the tasting board and the slow cooked lamb . Beautiful flavours and a great way to try new dishes. The wines were well matched and delicious.

Beautifully prepared and preserved food in a quiet tucked away part of the Moutere hills. Good service. Loved the way you can have a flight of their wines with your meal. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

Moutere Hills Restaurant and Cellar Door have now hosted our third annual Hāpi Symposium, bringing brewers together from around the world and across New Zealand, and once again they absolutely delivered. The food was outstanding, the communication throughout the planning process was incredibly helpful, and the hospitality from the whole team was exceptional from start to finish. Food: 5 stars Organisation: 5 stars Hospitality, care, and smiles: 5 stars We really appreciate everything you all did to help make the event such a success. A big shout out to Jeremy in particular for all of his support.

Simly amazing service and food - this was the best meal of the trip in this area. Everything on the menu was perfect for a lunch under the umbrellas overlooking the vineyards. Worth the journey.
