Murchison Golf Course

Beautiful golf course, stopped on our way to nelson for a round of 18. Looks as though it is self service, just deposit money into the envelope or bank transfer and write a receipt and away you go! Greens and fairways were very well kept and honestly super cheap by UK standards (About $20NZD for 18 holes)!

Love this country nine hole golf course. Nice layout and enough interesting holes to make it a fun and rewarding round. Greens are but spongy, so need a bit of whack when putting. Only $15 green fee!!

Have driven past this course of years, always in a hurry to get to Chch or back home, n many wasted opportunity’s lost to play a great 9 hole country course. Yes the greens are a bit mossy, but it’s a country course. I strongly suggest you apply liberal amounts of top strength insect spray (I even sprayed my hat to keep the sand fly’s away from my face, good trick to remember) we stayed overnight in the camper (toilets are open, no shower) excellent country course ($15 for 9 👍)

Played here recently on golf road trip. Nice little country course with a tight layout and some holes that seemed “long” for whatever reason. We played when cold and it was a challenging afternoon. Sneaky 90 degree opening hole called The Eel! Another classic NZ Country 9 holer. Long may they all thrive!
