Mutton Cove Campsite
About
Mutton Cove Campsite sits in Abel Tasman National Park, reached only on foot or by boat via the Waiharakeke to Whariwharangi section of the Abel Tasman Coast Track, as there is no vehicle access. Managed by the Department of Conservation, the beachside site has 20 non-powered tent sites and requires advance booking. Fires are allowed only in designated fireplaces, and dogs are not permitted.

Few people, right on the beach. There are a few sites on the northern end that are a bit apart from the big grassy field and offers more privacy

We walked part of the Abel Tasman walk, stopping off at this bay! Beautiful blue water w golden sands. Walked over the rocks to the next bay which is just as beautiful! ☀️

Loved it. Great place to camp between Anapai and Whariwharangi. Great camping options, flush toilet and right by the track. Good rocks at each end of the beach to look at sea life.

Beautiful location, one of my favourite bays in Abel Tasman. If you can I would definitely recommend staying here for a night, the watertaxi goes to Totaranui which is about two and a half hours away or something so you could even just visit for a day. The sunrise is amazing here.

Nice campsite direktly on the beach. Provides grassy campspots, a toilet, fireplaces and water. Secure your food or the Weka will steal it :D
