We received a very warm welcome from our hosts, even on a rainy day, despite our late booking. The rooms are quiet and very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is generous and delicious. Our hosts opened their home to us and made us feel right at home. We are very grateful for their hospitality.

Nelson Lakes Homestay was fantastic! Clean, modern amenities and comfortable living arrangements, hosted by David and Tammy! Sumptuous breakfast in the morning, paired with free access to tea and coffee any time of the day! The property was also situated very close to many beautiful hikes, such at Lake Rotoiti (5 mins drive away) and Mt Roberts (10/15 mins drive away) so there's plenty of adventure options nearby! David and Tammy also have a beautiful garden where they plant many native trees and plants. I got the chance to see beautiful flowering manuka while I was there at the start of summer. The native plants also attract birds like the Tui that you can see up close sometimes! Amazing experience overall!

Would we stay here again? Absolutely YES!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts, Tamy and David are lovely people. Both are very hospitable and engaging. They were without doubt the perfect hosts during our two days visit. They made us feel totally at ease and fully at home in their beautiful bungalow. Our twin room with ensuite was modern with comfy beds and spotlessly clean. The omelette breakfast with free range eggs and freshly baked bread was superb and a real treat! We will definitely recommend staying here to friends and family.

Fantastic place to spend a couple of days. Shona and Bruce welcome you in to their homes and hearts. The views add to the charm.
