Orchard View Cottage is a self-contained, two-bedroom holiday cottage in the Riwaka Valley near Motueka, close to Abel Tasman National Park and the beaches of Marahau and Kaiteriteri. Set on twenty acres of private land with pasture, native bush and river frontage, the property borders the Riwaka River, where guests can fish for brown trout. The grounds are home to free-range chickens, geese, mini horses and native birdlife.

Orchard View Cottage, is a great place away from all the tourist atractions but still near Abel Tasman NP. We stayed there for 3 nights with no noise from cars etc. overlooking the kiwifruit orchard of the owners. There are chickens running around but they do no not bother you. Sox, the cat comes to visit you every evening after you' ve been travelling to the nearby National Parks. You have your own bbq and a sundowner terrace to set whilst having a sip of NZ wine. We would love to go back but the Highlands of Scotland is a bit far. Maybe in 5 years time, you never know. Thanks Kate.
