Absolutely beautiful if you manage to park by the road facing the beautiful inlet for boats etc.The cliffs around that area are just beautiful too.A" must stay there" place, although it was very full of vans this time.

$5:00 per person per night is great value for this camp-site. The views of the Marina are superb. There's always something going on at the port to see. Right next door is the boat club. The boat club has public toilets, showers ($4), washing machine ($4) and dryer ($4). The camp-site has one tap with non-potable water. There is also a rotary clothes line. Boat owners drive through at 6:00am each morning to launch their boats, so that can be a bit noisy. People fished successfully from the rocky breakwater. The Pohara Camping ground is very close with a variety of eating options and a convenience store. We found this spot was a good place to access local hiking tracks and beaches. Labyrinth Rocks was great. Takaka Saturday market was good. Rubbish disposal was at the Golden Bay Information Centre. The closest dump station was 10 km away at 78 Motupipi Street, Takaka.

A wonderful site but I had freezing shower at a cost of $4 will use my camper next time. Easy bike ride to town
