CLOSED FOR WINTER SEASON No bookings. Please bring CASH. Unpowered sites: Adults (15+yrs) $20 per person/night, Kids $10/night, Under 2yrs free. Powered site is extra $5 per night. No dogs. Directions: we are 220 McShane Rd, same driveway as Golden Bay Hideaway, follow signs to Rata Camp (do NOT ring intercom). Make yourselves at home and please sort recycling and rubbish respectfully. Washer/dryer at big green shed, they take 3x$2 coins, detergent supplied. Don鈥檛 forget yr marshmallows for the 馃敟 馃檹馃徏 Thank you - Lawrence and Kylie For a few days around New Years Eve the campground is understandably busy. It is pretty quiet the rest of the season.

This place is great! Only 4 other vehicles the night we stayed, so it was very quiet. Everything has been well thought through, and the communal area was spotless. Great value for money. Bring bug spray.

This is a real gem. The kitchen setup is fabulous, and we really enjoyed sitting around the fire in the evening getting to know our fellow campers. I highly recommend!

We really enjoyed it. A small, charming campground, clean, tidy, with everything you need and great attention to detail. The curious little wekas were a particular highlight. We really enjoyed it.
