Takaka Tyres & Mechanical Ltd

Had the misfortune to shred a tyre 1/2 way out on the cobb dam valley road. Called Takaka Tyres and Mechanical at 2.30 pm and ordered a tyre (19" one which they don't carry). Got the car taken in by aa breakdown. Car arived at takaka at 4.00. Went for a coffee and went back just before 5 and it was all done. They got the tyre on the courier and had the tyre fitted for a reasonable price. Given it was a performance tyre and I was stuck, I am totally impressed with the people there and their attitude. No price gouging, just good old fashioned service. Paul.

These guys are life savers! After travelling around golden bay on holiday my car started to run rough and I wasn’t confident in it making it back over the hill. I walked in there without any booking and the team were happy to diagnose the problem right away, one hour later we had an answer and the parts had been ordered, all fitted and fixed. LEGENDS!

We came with a flat tire, they took us immediately to fix it in less than 1 hour for 40$. Very fast and more than reasonable price. Highly recommended !
