Te Pukatea Campsite

Great ocean-side campsite that’s a quiet alternative to the busy Anchorage. Only downside was the minimal toilets (fine quality, but only 2–and only 1 was functioning at the time).

A beautiful bay and campsite. Benches and toilets, no shelter. Campsites are a tiny bit sloped. Will say be prepared to secure your food and hang. Rats and mice are very active. Highly recommend the extra walk around Pitts Lookout.

Beautiful campsite but worth noting that there are much better facilities at Anchorage Bay campsite (and both sites are the same price). The view from here is stunning, great beach and you can see the sun rise over the sea from your tent but the toilets are grim. All in all a fantastic campsite but if I had the choice again I would choose Anchorage.

Fantastic small campsite in an amazing cove. No fires allowed but toilet and running water. Well worth the extra 20 minutes walk from Anchorage

Great spot for a camp. Small site but with water and toilets. Beautiful bay to swim and play in but also a great spot to stop on a hike.
