Lamb shoulder was more than amazing. Service second to none. Bar staff so friendly. Definitely going back.

I havnt been here for a number of years, last visit was disappointing with the old owners, now it has very recent new owners - this time a friend booked a table for us and we had a table in the restaurant. Going for the old decor still - great! Keto up the ascetics but having ripped cushions isn’t a good look, leftover from the last owners no doubt. This reminds me of hotels on the West Coast, old, a fire indoors, decor that’s outdated/old/ripped etc I arrived rather early on a grotty day and thought I’d get a hot drink, no. No barista coffee just plunger coffee available- for a non coffee drinker I was disappointed to begin with, not even a hot chocolate. The food was nice, advertised as a lamb shoulder for the roast of the day, I’m guessing it was minced? Being in the circle it was with carrots attached and something like silver beet or something green inside, the meat melted in your mouth great! $35 for this Small other plates are also offered, let’s say entree sized. Fancy looking food in the pub. The menu is small so service was very fast even when it was full, I watched a bunch of people come and then walk out because it was so busy and no seating as lots reserved tables and no outside available as it was raining. The apple crumble is snack sized not a size I’d anticipated, another friend also ordered and I saw the look of disappointment on her face, tasty but $15 for a snack.

Just after Easter, our family group of 16 met at our 'local', the Moutere Inn, to celebrate a special birthday. We had a wonderful time together and enjoyed our meals very much, sometimes trying and sharing each others cos they looked so appetizing. The choice of craft beers was popular too. Thank you so much to Bec and Jake for taking ca re of us so well.

Our 🚴group Easiriders Motueka have enjoyed the total culinary experience at the Ol moutere pub , so when John and Jane bought LSB🫣barrel👍we naturally hoped it would be available during the renovations. Yay 🏹🤗and the team went beyond the proverbial country mile, with our delectable pumpkin soup offering at such short notice too🥁📈👍🥁. Plunger coffee delicacy has the best beans too so 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁. Can't wait until the banquet option is on market , we love to eat drink and be merry in depths of winter (July)around the super large fire at the Moutere pub.
