Totaradale Golf Club
About
Totaradale Golf Club is a 9-hole, par-72 course on Pigeon Valley Road on the outskirts of Wakefield, about 25km south of Nelson. The 5599m layout includes a number of shallow bunkers, a couple of creeks and a small pond, set among native and exotic trees with abundant bird life. The clubhouse offers a small retail area, a members' bar and hot and cold food, and the club also hosts private group golf days.

I remember playing here when I was 8 or 9 years old. I am now over 70. For me a great but challenging course. The 2nd hole off the tee I could not clear those darn trees. Noel was club Captain. Some of the youngsters Kevin Jones, Palmer, John Hicks, Hilyard and others 1963 to 1966. The club house was an old farm house. Now living in Bangkok where I have been for the last 27 years.

Super friendly team. Great track with wonderful views. My opinion is no way influenced by the lip out on the 180m par 3 sixth hole for a hole in one !

Hard to pick a quiet time for a round but it's 1 of my favourite courses. Good view from number 3.

Great 9 hole rural course near Wakefield , clear layout with lots of established Totara. Well maintained with some challenging greens. 👍
