Waimea Nurseries Redwood Block is part of Waimea Nurseries, a fruit tree nursery established in 1971 by Doug and Georgi Simpson. The company produces fruit, nut, berry and ornamental trees for New Zealand's consumer and commercial markets, supplying crops including apples, stonefruit, kiwifruit, berries and hops. The nursery is based in Waimea West and covers more than 200 hectares of production on the Waimea Plains near Nelson.
