Not sure why the negative reviews, maybe people misunderstood what a holiday park is. This one is cleaner, prettier, and quieter, than 90% of other parks! Plus it's a short walk to Wharawiki which is beautiful

Spent two nights and I enjoyed the stay. Here are some points I would like to share: 1) The staff is friendly and helpful. I forgot to bring a lighter for the stove and he lent his own lighter to me. He also helped me to open the gate when drive in or out. 2) The location is perfect for hiking to Wharariki beach. I could hike to the beach before sunrise and no one was there. 3) For the internet problem, there is a spot outside the kitchen that can receive mobile data, so you don’t really need to pay for wifi. Also, if you drive out a bit, there will be mobile signals. 4) Kitchen, cabin and facilities are clean. It is preferable to bring your own kitchen utensils, otherwise you may need to borrow it from the staff. For discarding your rubbish or buy groceries, you can just drive for 20-30 min to Collingwood. 5) Most important thing is that the nature and the view is beautiful. Also, I met a lot of great travellers here and had some nice chats. In general, it was a really nice stay and this Wharariki visit was one of my key memories for my NZ trip.

Beautiful and tranquil. I love this place!! Quiet, simple and friendly. Staff are lovely. Office staff are happy to assist with camp info or local knowledge. Owner knows all the tips and tricks. What a privilege to be able to stay here

Such a great campsite! The host that checked us in was really helpful and gave us great advice for our evening walk along the beach to go at low tide. A quaint spot with clean ammenities, and close beach access.
