Even though it is officially closed track, it is possible to get to the waterfall. One bridge is missing, but it is possible to go through the river. At least it was in October when were there (and a bunch of other people too). The waterfall was nice, and the whole track is beautiful and fun, especially with ricer crossing.

Awesome walk and swim spot. Very achievable - a few bit here older/people with less mobility may need a hand to climb the odd rock but really a short walk to a breathtaking spot. Take your sandfly spray!

Really nice walk from the Hacket car park. It's pretty flat along the Hackett and then the Miner river to the lower falls which are often disappointing as they are near dry in summer. A side track to the left of these falls reveals a lovely stream among limestone rocks to the pretty upper falls. It seems to be a collapsed cave. There's a rockfall risk here so don't linger. A short steep climb then leads to a small high meadow which is a great picnic dpot.

Nice walk to the falls even when the track signs say its closed. Mine track is also a nice loop walk. I found 3 of the 4 mines on there map. Looks like they covered one of the mines just below the sign with old trees and bits of logs.

Great walk up to the falls with little spots to stop at along the river. Halfway to the Falls, the track is washed away with a few steep climbs. But the Whispering Falls is so worth the 1hr walk!
