ABEL is a family-run vineyard, orchard and winery on a 30-hectare farm in the Moutere Valley at Upper Moutere, run by Mark and Sophie McGill since 2018. The business focuses on Chardonnay and Cider grown in Moutere clay soils. Visits are by appointment only, with tastings offered Saturdays at 11am and 3pm, or by email arrangement at other times. The name references nearby Abel Tasman National Park.
