Greenhough is a family-run winery in Hope, Nelson, established in 1990 by Andrew and Jenny Greenhough. The eight-hectare Hope Vineyard grows Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Blanc, and gained full BioGro NZ organic certification in 2011. The winery has produced wines for over twenty-five years. Its 1994 cellar door features an entranceway floor tiled by local ceramic artist Steve Fullmer.

Very good whites. Liked the reisling, which had a nice pineapple tartness to it, the sauv blanc, which had a nice mineral-ness that was missing in the Otago sauv blancs we tried before we reached Nelson, and an interesting "Pinots blanc", which was a blend. Nice wine owner, quiet vineyard, cute winery dog and free tasting. Lovely visit!
