Kiwi Spirit Distillery

Was gifted a bottle of the Waitui whiskey as a wedding gift and it instantly became one of our favorites. For a young whiskey this single malt was rich in flavor and smooth to finish and very easy to want for another glass. We are looking forward to sharing a glass together every anniversary from now on.

Absolutely a must stop destination! Our bartender, Jeremy was extremely friendly and welcoming. The gin and tonic was spectacular; well balanced and extremely tasteful botanicals from the gin that blended perfectly with the tonic. And if that wasn't enough, the cocktails were the best price I've seen in the whole of New Zealand!

Friendly staff. A selection of house gins. Appear to specialize in the liqueur style rather than aromatic gin spirits. Tapas type menu. Reasonable food prices. Worth a visit for free tastings.

Amazing customer service - the best we’ve experienced in Golden Bay. Delicious food and drinks. The staff were so accommodating of our 3 year old, bringing him things to play with - thank you! We’ll definitely be back.

This place has been flagged on my map to try for so long, and I finally made it over — wow, what a stunner. The cocktails were reasonably priced at around $15 each, and the paddles were such a fun way to try a mix of drinks. If you like camembert, do yourself a favour and order the baked truffle camembert with focaccia — it was incredible. I only wish we were staying closer, because it’s definitely the kind of place you’d want to visit more than once. Easily a 5-star experience.
